Silent Uproar

Silent Uproar are a Hull-based theatre company with a simple mission statement – to create playful and provocative new work by telling stories that make the world a little less shit.

The company formed in 2014 on the top floor of their local pub. Since then they have become a ‘Supported Company’ of Hull Truck Theatre and an ‘Emerging Company 2016-2017’  for the New Diorama Theatre in London. Mixing new writing and devising, the work is inspired by pop culture, especially cinema, television, comic books, standup comedy, and video games.

Their early work included Alex Oates’ Pig and Morgan Sproxton’s Small Plans. LittleMighty started working with the company early in 2017, helping to develop new projects including A Super Happy Story (About Feeling Super Sad) and Bold Knights of Britain.
