Clerkinworks

Angela Clerkin is an actor, writer and theatre maker. She launched Clerkinworks in 2013 to create visually rich, funny, provocative shows that use personal stories to tell global tales.

Her first show, The Bear, was co-produced with Improbable. The Bear is a mythical murder mystery about the transformative power of anger. It toured 12 UK theatres, selling out at Tobacco Factory, Brighton Fringe, Royal Exchange and the Traverse.

As an Associate Artist with Improbable Angela performed in Panic, Lifegame, Animo and Cinderella. She is also an Associate Artist with Chris Goode & Company, appearing in Monkey Bars (Fringe First, Traverse, Unicorn & UK tour), Godhead (Ovalhouse) and Open House (Bristol Mayfest).

Acting credits include productions at the Barbican, Sydney Opera House, National Theatre, Edinburgh Lyceum, Young Vic, Lyric, ICA, Northern Stage, BAC, The Yard, Liverpool Playhouse, Plymouth Drum, Almeida, West Yorkshire Playhouse and the Old Vic.

TV includes: Humans, Holby City, Dean Spanley, Dalziel & Pascoe, EastEnders, My Family, Sugar Rush and The Office.

Angela has short stories published by Limehouse Books in East and Men & Women and most recently in L is For.
