Chloe Bezer
Chloe Bezer is a theatre-maker, performer and musician who has been creating bold, original work since 2003.
Until 2008 she was Co-Artistic Director of Leeds-based Imprint Theatre Company. Their critically acclaimed work included Chloe’s solo performance Show & Tell, as well as devised pieces Last in Line, the Fall and Rise of the Piejus Sister and More or Less Ourselves. The company’s all-female version of Oh What A Lovely War was commissioned by Together for Peace and performed at the Royal Armouries Museum.
“A grip like iron” - **** - The Scotsman on Last in Line
She also created a number of site-based commissions for Leeds Light Night, including installation piece Smoke & Mirrors (“fantastic” – BBC) and a show set on a canal boat, Nights on the Water.
Chloe has also developed Ruby’s Last Confession, a show based on her cabaret character, Ruby Corset.
“A delicious mix of cabaret, comedy and composition” – Three Weeks on Ruby’s Last Confession
Chloe is currently developing a number of new works, including Women and Other Exhibits, an intimate song cycle in which delicate cello and fragile vocals conjure the lives behind the displays encountered in the Horniman Musuem.
“Takes equal parts wit, weirdness and intelligence and whips them up into a dark treat.”
